Procrastination- My Specialty

Procrastinationto put off till another day or time; defer; delay.

I am probably the Queen of Procrastination. Lemme explain something to you, I am a very organized person. I make lists of almost everything. And yet, I somehow almost always find myself waiting until the last minute to do something. Just ask Noelle, she knows I'm not lying. For example, I have had a little over two months to read Mythology by Edith Hamilition, and yet here I am the week before I'm supposed to have it done, and I still haven't read it. I should actually be reading it right now, instead of writing this blog.
I am about to start High School. I am, for the first time in three years, going to have a set deadline, not one that I can bend, and skip over. I am going to have homework every night, and I am going to have to start getting things done on time. So I ask you, reader, to please give me some tips on how to stop procrastination in it's worst case. Thank You.

  1. She's not joking.

Use a planner. Write all your assignments down. If you have something that will take a while to get done (such as a project) schedule a little everyday.

  2. Like Noelle said, a checklist or planner is the best option I think. Or always have this thought in the back of your head: "Will I really want to do this later?" You wont, so that would motivate you to do what you need to do right then. I procrastinate too sometimes, and I always regret putting something off. I would also suggest reading these books if you have the time, they are my favorite books EVER and they are made completly for teens and they might motivate you to get all you needs done this school year:

How to be Totally Miserable - John Bytheway (that's his name, and the book is meant to be sarcastic, so he's really saying 'How to be Totally Happy!' I thought you might enjoy it sence it IS in your language!

How to be an Extraordinary Teenager - John Bytheway

the 7 Habits of Higly Effective Teens - Sean Covey

I know that's a lot, but you asked for advice, I'm going the whole 9 yards!

  3. Antartica????????? You're going to Antartica???????

  4. Thanks Guys!
I'll have to look into those books!

    And yes, I'm going to Antarctica...someday. :)
